Workout Flow: At 3…2…1….Go, Partner 1 will pick up their Dumbbells and complete 10 Dumbbell Bench Press. Partner 2 will be resting behind the Bench. Partner 1 will then begin their Farmer’s Carry to the Rope, placing the Dumbbells in front of the Tape Line. The athlete will then complete their prescribed level of Rope Climb, then pick up the Dumbbells and Farmer’s Carry them back to the Bench, setting them down in the outlined area. Partner 1 will then tag Partner 2 and Partner 2 will repeat after Partner 1 in the same exact fashion. They will continue this “You Go, I Go” alternation for 8 Total rounds (4 Per Partner). After Partner 2 sets the Dumbbells down at the Bench for the final time, both Partners will sprint to the finish line.
*ATHLETES MUST ALWAYS TAG EACH OTHER WHEN ALTERNATING POSITIONS*
Movement Standards:
Dumbbell Bench Press: The Rep begins with the Arms locked out. If the Athlete lies down on the bench with the Dumbbells touching their Shoulders, that first “press” will not count as a rep. The Athlete must the bring both Dumbbells down until 1 Head of both Dumbbells touch any part of the Chest/Shoulder area. The Athlete will then press the Dumbbells back up, and the Rep is credited when the arms are fully extended. The Athlete’s butt must remain on the Bench and their feet must remain on the floor throughout the entire rep.
Farmer’s Carry: The Farmer’s Carry begins behind the tape line with both Dumbbells resting at the side (Front/Back rack of any kind is NOT allowed). The Athlete will walk or “run” to the next tape line. After BOTH feet cross the tape line, the Athlete may set the Dumbbells down. Setting the Dumbbells down prematurely will result in being sent back to re-do the entire distance over again
Rope Climb:
RX: The Climb to the 15ft Tape Line must be complete without assistance from the Legs/Feet where the Rope is directly touching the Legs/Feet (Kipping is OKAY). The Rep is credited when any part of the hand clearly touches the Tape Line. All athletes are required to hold onto the rope until both hands are below the 10ft tape line, from which they can descend in any fashion (Letting go from the top is NOT allowed)
Intermediate/Masters: The Climb to the 15ft Tape Line can be complete in any fashion. The Rep is credited when any part of the hand clearly touches the Tape Line. All athletes are required to hold onto the rope until both hands are below the 10ft tape line, from which they can descend in any fashion (Letting go from the top is NOT allowed)
Scaled (Rope Get Ups): The Rep begins with both hands on the top Tape Line, and both feet on the floor Tape Line. The athlete will then descend until both hands touch the Bottom Tape Line. They will then ascend back up the Rope with their hands until they both return to the Top Tape Line. The Athlete’s feet must remain on the Floor Tape Line throughout the entire rep
